Sri Lanka, Feb. 3 -- The Court of Appeal has dismissed a writ petition filed by four monks, including Venerable Balangoda Kassapa Thero, and five others currently in custody over the placement of a Buddha statue at the Sri Sambodhi Temple on the Trincomalee coast.

The order was delivered by a bench comprising Court of Appeal President Justice Rohantha Abeysuriya and Justice Priyantha Fernando, who upheld a preliminary objection raised by the Attorney General.
