Sri Lanka, Feb. 1 -- The writ petition filed seeking an order declaring that Jaffna District Parliamentarian Dr. Ramanathan Archchuna is disqualified to be a Member of Parliament was yesterday fixed for support on May 14 by the Court of Appeal.
Meanwhile, the Attorney General yesterday informed the Court of Appeal that Dr. Ramanathan Archchuna remains interdicted from service owing to a pending disciplinary inquiry.
Senior Additional Solicitor General Sumathi Dharmawardena, appearing on behalf of the Health Ministry Secretary informed Court that documents substantiating that MP Archchuna remains interdicted from service have already been filed.
