Sri Lanka, Jan. 26 -- Sri Lanka's young table tennis sensation, Tavi Samaraweera, arrived at Katunayake Airport in the early hours of January 26 following a dominant performance in the Middle East.
The World Number 1 in the Under-11 category returned home after clinching gold medals at two major World Junior Table Tennis Ranking Tournaments in Bahrain (Jan 14-18) and Doha, Qatar (Jan 19-25).
The 10-year-old prodigy, a Grade 6 student at S. Thomas' College, Mount Lavinia, was accompanied by his father and coach, Hasitha Samaraweera. The duo arrived at 3:55 AM on Salam Air flight OV-437 from Muscat.
