Sri Lanka, March 1 -- World number one Yui Kamiji led Japan to a commanding 3-0 victory over Chinese Taipei in the BNP Paribas World Team Cup Asia Oceania qualification at the Sri Lanka Tennis Association courts in Colombo yesterday.
The tournament, running from February 26 to March 2, will determine one women's and one men's team to qualify for the Wheelchair World Cup in Turkiye, scheduled from May 6 to 11 at the Ali Bey Club.
Japan's women's team showed their dominance with a flawless performance against Chinese Taipei. In the first singles match, Yuma Takamuro cruised past Su Cheng Chen 6-0, 6-0.
