Sri Lanka, April 7 -- World Bank Group (WBG) President Ajay Banga will arrive in Sri Lanka today (7), marking the first official visit by a World Bank Group President to the country in nearly two decades.
The visit follows an invitation extended by President Anura Kumara Dissanayake during a congratulatory call shortly after his appointment in November last year.
WBG President Banga's visit comes at a critical moment, as Sri Lanka continues its journey toward economic recovery and aims to build a more resilient, inclusive, and private sector-driven economy.
