Sri Lanka, Nov. 1 -- A video showing a woman claiming to be the sister of a Senior DIG while obstructing police duty has been circulating widely on social media.

The incident occurred on October 31, 2025, on the Kotugoda-Udugampola road in the Gampaha Police Division.

According to police, the woman failed to stop her vehicle after being signaled for a traffic violation.

She continued driving despite police attempts to intercept her, displaying provocative behavior during the pursuit.

The car was eventually stopped at Polwatta Junction in the Minuwangoda Police Division, and the woman was arrested and taken to Gampaha Police Station.
