Sri Lanka, Dec. 5 -- A 29-year-old Tanzanian woman gave birth at Katunayake International Airport on the morning of 12/05.

She had arrived from Dubai on Fitz Air flight 8D-822 at 06:30 and was waiting at the airport transit terminal for her connecting flight to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, when she experienced labor pains.

She was promptly referred to the Katunayake Airport Medical Treatment Center, where doctors and nurses assisted her in delivering a healthy baby boy.
