Sri Lanka, Jan. 31 -- A driver who attempted to flee police by biting the shoulder of a cop was arrested in Moneragala on Tuesday evening.
The incident had occurred around 5:45 p.m on Tuesday evening when two police constables on duty near the Diyasenpura checkpoint on the Moneragala - Wellawaya road signalled a speeding vehicle which was plying towards Wellawaya to stop.
However the driver defying the police signal had proceeded.The cops had given chase and blocked their way.The said cab driver had started the engine of his vehicle again and had attempted to run over the cops.At this moment, a cop had attempted to enter the vehicle and a woman, who caims to be the wife of the cab driver, had bitten the cop's shoulder.
