The suspect, a seamstress from Kalubowila, had arrived on Fly Dubai flight FZ-579 from Dubai on the morning of May 21 at 8:10 AM. She tried to evade declaration by passing through the airport's Green Channel, which is designated for passengers with nothing to declare.

In an apparent attempt to avoid suspicion, she was accompanied by her 7-year-old daughter. However, airport Customs officers acted on a tip-off and intercepted her with the contraband in her possession.
