Sri Lanka, May 21 -- A group of Avissawella Police officers who went to raid an illegal liquor business in Seluvakande, Avissawella, on Saturday evening, were reportedly attacked by a wild boar and one Police officer who sustained injuries in a fall while trying to flee has been admitted to the Colombo National Hospital.

Police said that the injured sergeant had suffered fractures in his right leg as he fell while trying to thwart the attack of the wild boar.

He was first admitted to the Avissawella Hospital and then transferred to the Colombo National Hospital for further treatment.
