Sri Lanka, July 24 -- Under the guidance of the Partnership Secretariat for Cooperation with the World Food Programme (WFP), affiliated with the Ministry of Rural Development, Social Protection, and Community Empowerment, a high-level delegation recently visited the Matale District to observe the progress of ongoing rural development initiatives.

The visit was led by the Minister of Rural Development, Dr. Upali Pannilage, and Deputy Minister of Buddhasasana, Religious, and Cultural Affairs, Mr. Gamagedara Dissanayake. They were joined by the WFP Representative in Sri Lanka, Mrs. Anita Hitch, and several officials.
