Sri Lanka, Oct. 6 -- Wesley College, Colombo clinched the Elite Schools Under-16 Ten-a-Side Rugby Championship in thrilling fashion, edging out Science College, Mount Lavinia by 5 points (one try) to 3 (one penalty) in the Cup Championship final played at St Peter's College grounds in Bambalapitiya yesterday.

After a scoreless first half, the final burst into life in the second period. Science College took the lead in the eighth minute when Nesandu Pahan fired across a penalty to make it 3-0.

Wesley, however, replied strongly when their right winger Shibly dived over for an unconverted try in the 11th minute to put his team ahead 5-3.
