Sri Lanka, Oct. 30 -- Fort Magistrate Courts yesterday (29) issued warrants against two individuals, including MP Jagath Manuwarna, who failed to appear in Court in connection with two cases pending before the Fort Magistrate's Court. The lawyer representing Manuwarna informed the Court that his client had to participate in a national ceremony to distribute land deeds. The Magistrate, who stated that it was questionable that he did not know to show up despite knowing that there was a case in Court, issued warrants on the accused. These orders were issued in relation to two cases that took place in 2023.
