Srilanka, March 12 -- The Viceroy Special, the special passenger train service operated by a private firm on all railway lines of the country arrived in Galle Railway Station last weekend carrying a group of overseas tourists after a tour in Ella, Badulla, Pattipola, Hapuatale, Kandy and Anuradhapura.

Viceroy is a sole steam locomotive in operation in Sri Lanka, as a private train on all railway lines in the country. The 75-year-old luxury train has two air-conditioned observation saloons and a restaurant car.

This train is operated mainly for foreign tourist attractions and their enjoyment. The operators said that the train is very popular among the tourists.
