Sri Lanka, Dec. 9 -- Venuli Jayasinghe of Maliyadeva Girls' College, Kurunegala, clinched the Women's Open Singles title at the Lake View Annual Ranking Tennis Tournament, held last week at the Tennis Court in Batticaloa.

Jayasinghe triumphed, overcoming Dulkini Ranasinghe in a thrilling final. After a commanding 6-0 win in the first set, she faced a strong comeback from Ranasinghe, losing the second set 2-6. In the decisive super tie-breaker, Jayasinghe held her nerve to secure a 10-6 victory, sealing the championship with a 2-1 set win.
