Sri Lanka, Oct. 6 -- Sri Lanka's artistic swimming talent, Venuki Wijesena, produced a landmark performance at the 11th Asian Aquatics Championship 2025 in Ahmedabad, India, becoming the fifth-best solo technical swimmer in Asia.
Competing at just 16 years of age, Wijesena - the only artistic swimmer representing Sri Lanka at this year's championship - displayed outstanding precision, control and artistic flair in the Women's Solo Technical Final held at the Veer Savarkar Sports Complex. Her routine earned a total of 185.9999 points, a result that placed her among Asia's elite and marked Sri Lanka's best-ever finish in this discipline.
