Srilanka, March 18 -- Uruwarige Wannila Aththo, leader of the indigenous population known as 'Veddahs' in Sri Lanka, has announced plans to take legal action against two social media activists who created and posted a video online that distorts the culture and language of the tribal community.

Speaking to the media, Wannila Aththo explained that the video was made with the intent of generating profit by misrepresenting tribal culture.

He revealed that the creators of the video were contacted by phone and informed about the issue.

However, their lack of response has led to concerns that the respect for the tribal community is being undermined.
