Sri Lanka, Nov. 4 -- The Vana Surakuma (Forest Protection) Joint Operations Unit was established under the Environment Ministry, to build an environmentally friendly Sri Lanka under the theme 'A Sustainable Bio-World - A Perennial Life' as conceptualised by President Anura Kumara Dissanayake and led by Environment Minister Dr. Dammika Patabendi. This unit is dedicated to the conservation of natural forest resources.
