Sri Lanka, March 22 -- Commander of the United States Indo-Pacific Command (INDOPACOM) Admiral Samuel J. Paparo reaffirmed the United States' commitment to strengthening the enduring bilateral ties between the two nations and expressed support for Sri Lanka's new governmental policies.

He made these remarks during a meeting with President Anura Kumara Dissanayake at the Presidential Secretariat yesterday (21).

During the discussion, Admiral Paparo extended his best wishes to President Dissanayake and the new government on their planned initiatives. He also acknowledged Sri Lanka's continued support in ensuring the security of the Indian Ocean Region and maintaining a peaceful maritime environment.
