Sri Lanka, Jan. 13 -- The United States has announced an additional $2 million in humanitarian assistance to support communities affected by Cyclone Ditwah, bringing total US assistance to $4 million, the US Embassy in Sri Lanka said today. Sri Lanka travel

The funding will support relief and early recovery efforts in several hard-hit districts including Ampara, Badulla, Gampaha, Kegalle, Puttalam, Ratnapura, and estate communities in the Central Province.

Assistance includes emergency food, hygiene kits, clean drinking water, nutrition support for mothers and children, flood-mitigation materials, and livelihood recovery initiatives.
