Srilanka, June 13 -- Sri Lankan Ambassador to Israel, Nimal Bandara, has advised the Sri Lankan community to remain highly vigilant amid rising tensions in the Middle East following the escalation of hostilities between Israel and Iran.
Ambassador Bandara has recommended that individuals planning to travel to Israel postpone their trips for the time being, citing the volatile situation and the current state of emergency declared across Israel.
As a result of the conflict, flights have been suspended across the region's airspace, including both Israel and Iran.
The Ambassador also urged Sri Lankans currently residing in Israel to keep essential items such as food and medicine readily accessible in case of emergency developments.
