Srilanka, June 12 -- Train services along the Upcountry railway line have been fully restored, according to the Department of Railways.

Operations were temporarily disrupted after a section of track between Kandy and Peradeniya railway stations subsided due to heavy rainfall. As a result, trains were limited to terminating at Peradeniya station over the past few days.

However, railway authorities confirmed that the necessary repairs were completed, and full train operations up to Kandy railway station resumed this morning.
