Sri Lanka, Nov. 24 -- Transport and Highways Deputy Minister Dr.Prasanna Gunasena says that investigations are being conducted to determine whether the soil layer above the landslide site in Lower Kadugannawa is getting adversely affected due to train traffic.
He said that the Kadugannawa landslide site is located below the railway line and there is a suspicion that the ground at that location may become unstable due to the vibrations caused by the train.He said that there are reports that there is an area with unstable soil above the landslide site.
