Sri Lanka, Jan. 6 -- Minister of Foreign Affairs, Foreign Employment and Tourism Vijitha Herath stated that more than US$ 7 billion had been generated through Foreign Remittances in 2025.
The Minister revealed that remittances from Sri Lankans working overseas have reached an unprecedented peak, providing crucial foreign exchange stability.
He said that with the Tourism Industry contributing with US$ 3.2 Billion, Sri Lanka has earned nearly US$ 11 Billion in revenue from Foreign Employment and Tourism in 2025.
