Srilanka, May 1 -- Opposition Leader Sajith Premadasa, in his May Day message, emphasises the urgent need for all working people, directly and indirectly affected by the current economic crisis, to unite under one banner to protect and reclaim their rights.
In his message the Opposition Leader further said, "The backbone of our economy is the working people. In the face of current global economic trends, it is essential to reassess and redefine the rights and responsibilities of the working class. I believe raising awareness among workers and mobilising them is a responsibility that trade unions must never abandon.
