Sri Lanka, July 21 -- Officers of the Kalutara Crime Division have arrested Gayan Prabath, alias 'Gal Ibba', a suspected member of an organized crime syndicate linked to drug trafficking, in the Bopitiya area of Matugama.

Police revealed that the suspect had previously resided in Dubai and was deported due to multiple criminal charges. A mobile phone believed to have been used in coordinating drug deals was also seized during the arrest.

Authorities stated that ICE narcotics valued at approximately Rs. 1.1 million were found in his possession. The suspect is scheduled to be produced before the Matugama Magistrate today.
