Srilanka, March 27 -- Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has requested Sri Lanka's assistance in advancing peace efforts in Ukraine.
The request was made during a meeting at the Presidential Secretariat when Sri Lankan Ambassador to Ukraine, Hasanthi Urugodawatte Dissanayake, presented her credentials.
Discussions focused on strengthening bilateral cooperation and exploring joint efforts toward peace, according to Sri Lanka's Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
During the conversation, President Zelensky emphasized Ukraine's ongoing discussions with U.S. representatives and reiterated the country's commitment to achieving peace as soon as possible.
