Sri Lanka, Aug. 30 -- Two motorcyclists lost their lives in a crash on the A9 road in Kilinochchi yesterday (29).

The accident occurred around 5:30 a.m. between Karadipokku and Paranthan, when an SLTB bus bound from Jaffna to Nuwara Eliya had stopped near the Paranthan State Seed Production Centre. A tipper truck rammed the bus from behind, followed by a motorcycle that lost control and collided with the truck.

One rider died on the spot while the other, admitted to Kilinochchi Hospital with critical injuries, later succumbed in the Intensive Care Unit.
