Sri Lanka, Jan. 12 -- A three-wheeler traveling at high speed from Maskeliya to Norwood veered off the road and fell into a 25-foot precipice yesterday afternoon (11).

The driver and one passenger sustained injuries and were admitted to Dickoya Base Hospital for treatment.

The accident occurred around 3:00 pm in the Norwood New Weliwatte area along the Hatton-Maskeliya main road.

According to the Norwood Police, the three-wheeler lost control due to its high speed and veered off the road.

The vehicle suffered severe damage in the incident. Investigations into the accident are ongoing.
