Sri Lanka, Feb. 18 -- The Kaduwela Magistrate's Court today (February 18) remanded two brothers until March 4 for their alleged involvement in the brutal double murder of a lawyer and his wife in Akuregoda, Thalangama.

A third suspect, identified as 'Dila,' was granted a 72-hour detention order for further interrogation.

The tragedy occurred last Friday afternoon when the lawyer and his spouse were shot dead in a targeted attack.

Following the incident, 12 specialized police teams were deployed under the direction of the Inspector General of Police (IGP) to track the perpetrators.
