Srilanka, April 8 -- Two suspects linked to the recent murder of two youths near the Devundara Sri Vishnu Temple have been arrested, police confirmed.

The suspects, aged 26 and 35, are residents of the Gandara and Devinuwara areas. They were taken into custody yesterday (April 7) after voluntarily appearing at the Gandara Police Station accompanied by two lawyers.

Police identified one of the suspects as the gunman involved in the shooting. The arrests were carried out by the Homicide and Organized Crime Investigation Division.

The murders took place on March 21, when two individuals traveling on a motorcycle along Throne Road, in front of the Devundara Sri Vishnu Temple, were shot dead by a group of unidentified assailants who arrive...
