Sri Lanka, Jan. 14 -- Horton Plains National Park officials arrested an American man and a woman for possessing several endemic insect samples and chemicals used for preservation.
The officials discovered the items on January 11 during a routine inspection of tourist luggage at the entrance to the World's End nature trail. Upon searching the US national's bag, officers found insect samples preserved in chemicals, additional chemical substances, and equipment used to capture small animals.
