Srilanka, March 5 -- Two "ghosts" are aiding the process of dismantling the United National Party (UNP), MP Ravi Karunanayake said addressing the media yesterday (4).

He claimed that the two individuals within the UNP who opposed his appointment as a National List MP under the newly formed Democratic Front were responsible for undermining the party.

"Ranil Wickremesinghe, as the leader of the UNP, never blamed me for becoming an MP. In fact, I am the senior-most member of the party after him. However, these two ghosts are actively working to destroy the party. Ranil Wickremesinghe has now become a political hostage and that is why the UNP is failing to move forward," Karunanayake said.
