Sri Lanka, Nov. 7 -- The National Water Supply and Drainage Board (NWSDB) has announced a 12-hour water cut in several areas of Negombo today (07), from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.

According to the NWSDB, the water supply interruption is necessary to carry out urgent maintenance work at the Periyamulla water tower, which serves as part of the Negombo water supply system.

The affected areas include Periyamulla, Etthukala, Kudapaduwa, Dalupotha, Kattuwa, Levis Place, Sellakanda Road, and Wella Street.

Residents in these areas are advised to store sufficient water in advance and use it sparingly during the period of interruption.
