Srilanka, April 16 -- The Ceylon Electricity Board (CEB) has advised the public to deactivate their rooftop solar panels tomorrow only if they receive a text message instructing them to do so.
The CEB clarified that this request will be made via SMS and will apply only until April 21. If no message is received, there is no need to switch off the panels.
This measure is part of an ongoing effort to maintain system stability and manage electricity supply during periods of reduced demand. As previously announced, the CEB had asked rooftop solar users to temporarily deactivate their systems daily between 12 noon and 3 p.m.
