Sri Lanka, Aug. 12 -- Trinity College Kandy and Holy Family Convent Wennappuwa emerged as the top winners of the prestigious Blue and Gold Hockey Championships, organised for the 20th time by Royal College Colombo, sponsored by ESOFT University which concluded on Sunday at the Royal College Sports Complex.

In the Girls' final, Holy Family Convent Wennappuwa edged out President's Girls' School, Nawala, 1-0 in a tight contest to claim the title. In the Boys' final, Trinity College and St Thomas' College, Matale, battled fiercely with no goals scored in regular time. Trinity finally broke the

deadlock in the second extra time, sealing a hard-fought 1-0 victory to lift the trophy.
