Sri Lanka, May 10 -- Colombo Chief Magistrate Thilina Gamage yesterday issued a foreign travel ban on ousted MP Diana Gamage over the fraudulent passport case being heard in the Chief Magistrate's Court.

The order was issued by Court considering the request made by the aggrieved party that investigations into the case can be disturbed if the suspect leaves the country midway.

The Chief Magistrate ordered the Court's Registrar to communicate the order on travel ban to the Controller General of Immigration and Emigration with immediate effect.
