Sri Lanka, Oct. 31 -- Three Army personnel were injured and admitted to the Polonnaruwa Hospital after a hand grenade accidentally exploded at the Maduruoya Army Training Camp on Wednesday (29) at around 8 a.m. The Aralaganwila Police say that a hand grenade exploded while a soldier undergoing training at the Maduruoya Army Training Camp was trying to defuse it.

The three civilians who sustained minor injuries in the explosion were admitted to the Polonnaruwa Hospital.

Police officers including the OIC of the Aralaganwila Police, Chief Inspector Pushpa Kumara, are conducting investigations into the incident on the instructions of Polonnaruwa Senior Superintendent of Police Buddhika Manatunga, Superintendent of Police Pragathi Abeysinghe L...
