Sri Lanka, Dec. 23 -- Train services on the Eastern Railway Line between Galoya and Batticaloa are set to resume from tomorrow (24 December 2025), restoring a key transport link for commuters and travelers.

According to the Railways Department, the following schedule will be in effect:

Colombo Fort to Batticaloa: Train No. 7083 departing from Colombo Fort at 6.00 a.m. will leave Galoya Railway Station at 12.40 p.m., while Train No. 6011 will depart Batticaloa at 12.40 p.m.

Batticaloa to Colombo Fort: Train No. 6012 departing from Batticaloa at 5.00 a.m. will travel to Galoya, and from there continue to Colombo Fort.
