Srilanka, March 25 -- Local and foreign tourists visiting the historic Rangiri Dambulla Temple are facing significant inconvenience due to the insufficient toilet and latrine facilities at the site.

The Sri Lanka Tourism Development Authority reports that 641,961 tourists have visited the country between January 1 and March 20, 2025, with 148,983 visitors in the first 20 days of March alone. The government aims to attract 3 million tourists this year, but tourist facilities across many sites, including Dambulla, remain inadequate.
