Sri Lanka, Feb. 3 -- A 24-year-old British woman has passed away after being admitted to the Colombo General Hospital due to a sudden illness happened while staying at a lodge in the Kollupitiya area.

Two German nationals who were staying with the deceased woman was also admitted to hospital following a sudden illness.

The cause of this sudden illness has not been revealed yet and the Police stated that the investigations are underway to determine the reason.

Police have confirmed that the deceased individual was admitted to Colombo National Hospital with symptoms of vomiting and passed away while receiving treatment.
