Sri Lanka, Nov. 7 -- Small and medium-sized tourism industry operators said that they have submitted a five-point proposal to the government to attract high-spending tourists from Great Britain, Sweden, Germany, Finland, New Zealand, Australia, Middle East, India and Scandinavian countries to Sri Lanka in the next year's (2026) budget.

Accordingly, the proposal has been submitted to Minister of Finance and President Anura Kumara Dissanayake under a common consensus, expecting the development of the country's tourism industry.
