Sri Lanka, March 4 -- Sri Lanka's Tourism revenue will touch the USD one billion mark at the end of March 2024. For the first two months' tourism receipts were estimated to be over USD 710 million.

"We experience around USD 300 million each month so far, and will touch the USD one-billion-mark at the end of the month," an official from Sri Lanka Tourism Development Authority said.

For the second month in succession, Sri Lanka Tourism passed the 200,000 arrival landmark in February 2024 reordering 218,350 tourists. This is a record 102.8% increase against 2023 February which was 107,639. In January 2024 Sri Lanka saw 208,253 visitors which was also over 100% increase against the 2023 January which was 102,545.
