SriLanka, Feb. 7 -- Indian External Affairs Minister Dr. S. Jaishankar held discussions with a delegation from Sri Lanka's Janatha Vimukthi Peramuna (JVP), led by its General Secretary Tilvin Silva, focusing on strengthening bilateral relations and future cooperation.
In a statement shared following the meeting, Jaishankar described the engagement as a warm and productive interaction, noting that discussions covered opportunities for economic growth as well as social welfare initiatives beneficial to both countries.
He also reaffirmed India's support for Sri Lanka during challenging periods, including the recent economic crisis and assistance provided in the aftermath of Cyclone Ditwah.
