Sri Lanka, March 27 -- Tikiri Kobbekkduwa - whose roots are from the Central Province is a fine sportsman, he schooled at Trinity College and St.Sylvester's College and will grace the Sylvestrian cricket night on March 30 at the Grand Kandyan Hotel as the chief guest. Tikiri as he is well known excelled in cricket while at school and later played for his work place. He started his cricket at Trinity College from the under 12, 14, 17 respectively, and also was in the senior squad in 1974, when he came to the senior team. He had to complete his education and joined St. Sylvester's College half way in 1974, and he played till 1975.
