Srilanka, April 1 -- The Chairman of the Western Province Three-Wheeler Drivers and Owners Association, Lalith Dharmasekara, announced that despite the fuel price reduction from today (01), three-wheeler fares will not be adjusted.

He explained that the Rs. 10 per liter reduction in petrol prices only results in a minimal cost saving of about 50 cents per kilometer, which is impractical for fare adjustments.

Dharmasekara also highlighted concerns over arbitrary pricing by three-wheeler drivers across the country and emphasized the need to establish a more efficient and reliable service rather than focusing on minor price reductions.

He made these remarks during a media conference held today (01).
