Sri Lanka, Jan. 12 -- Three people have died in a fatal road accident that occurred this morning (12) in the Mundalama Navadankulama area on the Puttalam-Colombo main road.

Police say the accident occurred when a car and a van collided.

Two women and a man who were travelling in the car died in the accident.

Another person who was injured in the accident has been admitted to the Chilaw Hospital, the police said.

The Mundalama Police are conducting further investigations into the incident.
