Sri Lanka, Feb. 27 -- Six women were nabbed by Mt.Lavinia Anti-Vice Squad officers yesterday for engaging in prostitution.
Police sources said the women were nabbed in raids conducted on two brothels yesterday morning.
The two brothels were operating under the guise of Ayurvedic centers at Station Road,Mount Lavinia.
The suspects who are in the age groups of 39, 31 and 28 are from the Monaragala, Hokandara and Panadura areas.
Meanwhile, another house of ill fame that was operating under the guise of an Ayurvedic massage center was raided in Mount Lavinia. Three women including its manager were arrested are from Ragama, Pallebedda and Dambulla. The suspects were to be produced before the Mount Lavinia Magistrate's Courts.
