Srilanka, May 5 -- Three suspects have been arrested in connection with the brutal murder of a man who was hacked to death with a sharp weapon in a vacant lot on Huludagoda Road, within the Mount Lavinia Police Division, on May 1.
The crime took place in the afternoon, prompting an immediate investigation by the Western Province Southern Crime Division. Acting on intelligence, police apprehended the three suspects yesterday (May 4) near the Makumbura Expressway Bus Stand in the Kottawa Police Division.
The arrested individuals, aged 31, 32, and 34, are residents of the Mount Lavinia area. Following their arrest, police recovered two swords and a mobile phone allegedly used in the crime.
