Sri Lanka, Nov. 20 -- Three individuals were arrested at the Bandaranaike International Airport in Katunayake for attempting to smuggle Kush drugs worth over Rs. 40 million into the country.

They had arrived from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, on SriLankan Airlines flight UL-315 on the night of 19 November. The arrests were made by officers of the Airport Police Narcotics Bureau after the suspects had completed airport checks and were attempting to leave the premises.

During the inspection of their luggage, officials discovered 4 kilograms and 22 grams of Kush drugs concealed in four separate parcels.
